What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique that uses guided relaxation and focused attention to help you achieve a state of trance. In this state, the conscious mind takes a backseat while the subconscious mind becomes more open, allowing access to memories, beliefs and suppressed emotions that can be healed to help you achieve your goals and find clarity and freedom!

What is the subconscious mind?

The subconscious mind is the vast storehouse of your brain that stores all beliefs, emotions, thoughts, memories, habits, behaviors, and moods and contains all your values and core beliefs about yourself. Like a computer, once programmed with a certain idea or belief, your subconscious mind will operate out of that idea as if it were reality.
Your subconscious contains all of the stored information of everything you have ever experienced. Making up 95% of your brainpower, your subconscious mind houses all of your suppressed memories, negative emotions and trauma which can often be remembered under hypnosis. Its use in therapy allows us to harness the power of positive thinking to influence the subconscious mind to work in your favor and achieve your goals and dreams.

How can hypnotherapy help me?

Communication with your subconscious mind: Hypnotherapy bypasses the conscious mind and provides a pathway of communication to your subconscious to help you make changes to deeply rooted patterns, thoughts, beliefs and behaviors that are no longer serving you.
Trauma processing: In a state of trance and access to your subconscious mind, hypnotherapy allows us to address and process traumatic experiences that may have been forgotten but are still playing out as triggers and unhelpful behaviors in your life.
Release negative emotions: Suppressed negative emotions are the root cause of stress, depression, anxiety, and more, and they are all happening on a subconscious level. Create new empowering beliefs: In a state of hypnosis, your subconscious mind is more open and receptive to positive suggestions and affirmations aimed at cultivating empowering beliefs. By bypassing the critical conscious mind, these suggestions have the potential to take root in the subconscious, influencing thought patterns, behaviors, and the way you perceive yourself.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions needed varies based on individual goals and concerns. Overall, hypnosis is such a powerful tool that goals can be achieved in as little as 2-6 sessions. For highly motivated individuals, changes can be seen after just one session.  

Is hypnosis safe?

Yes! Hypnosis is completely safe and natural. It is a state that we experience daily, usually upon waking up and right before falling asleep. While in hypnosis, you are very relaxed and fully conscious. You will be able to hear everything that is said, you will never have to say or do anything you do not want to, and you can easily remember the entire session. You are in total control and you will never do anything while in hypnosis that goes against your will.
